When selecting our washed Ethiopian lots this season, this lot from the Danche washing station was hands down our favorite coffee we tried coming out of Ethiopia this year.
Located just a few miles from the Chelbessa washing station which was been a regular on our menu, Danche is a newer site owned by Neguesse Debela of SNAP. Built in 2019 in a small town within the Danche Village this site was constructed in order to purchase exclusively from small farmers in the local village. Here, they produce some of the cleanest and most flavorful coffees we have tried. The cup is very aromatic with florals of bergamot and honeysuckle opening up to a cup of juicy watermelon and fresh peach.
