We are thrilled to release our first Kenyan coffee of the year! Gachatha is loaded with ripe fruit notes from pineapple to grape candy. Lively acidity and a round body make this an all-around complete coffee. We love Kenyan coffees for their intense flavor and acidity and Gachatha preforms in all the categories while also having a softness that is reminiscent of coffees from Ethiopia.
Gachatha refers to the factory (washing station) where the coffee is processed. 1,000 local farmers deliver their coffee in cherry to the Gachatha station located in Nyeri. Lots are broken down based on week, this lot is from the 18-week out-turn and consists of SL-28 and SL-34 varieties.
