We are really excited to have Laayyoo back on our menu this year! Last year this coffee blew us away with how clean it was. This coffee is a total flavor bomb, producing flavors of blue and red berries, sparkling florals, and candied grapefruit. 

We have always been quite hesitant about naturals and have honestly never been the biggest fans because of the lack of cleanliness we found in so many we tasted. Ture Waji of Sookoo Coffee, who produced this lot is changing that perception for us. Ture is able to produce flavorful, complex, and deeply sweet naturals while maintaining a level of cleanliness that we find is lacking in so many we taste. Full disclosure, this year, Laayyoo has a little more of the classic natural profile than last year's but it is still an exceedingly clean and beautiful coffee.

Laayyoo is produced at the Raro Nensebo washing station in Uraga, Guji. The farmers who deliver their cherries to make up this lot come from the village Teraga and their farms sit at an elevation of 2,100 to 2,350 MASL. This lot is primarily composed of the 74110 and 74112 varieties  

Laayyoo refers to an indigenous tree growing in this area that provides shade to the coffee plantations. 

Orders are roasted on Tuesday and shipped on Wednesday.
