Panama | Janson Lot 631
Natural Green Tip Gesha
This exceptional Gesha selection comes from Hacienda Las Lagunas, one of two farms owned by the Janson family in Panama’s Talamanca mountain range. Grown at an altitude of 1,400 MASL, this lot was harvested on March 13, 2024. It's our third release from Janson this year and our only natural offering. This lot is fruit-forward and round, with candied notes of lychee, berries, melon, and gushers. There are a lot of florals, along with the creaminess of milky black tea. It's a fun one!
The Janson Family has been producing some of the world’s finest coffees since transitioning from a cattle farm in 1989. Their coffees are regularly featured in barista competitions globally and consistently rank among the top in the Best of Panama competition. We’re excited to feature their coffees, which often display a beautiful balance of citrus and floral notes, along with deep layers of complexity.
Cherries are collected at peak ripeness. Once sorted they are moved to dry on raised beds in cherry until the optimal moisture content is reached.
