This Gesha selection, produced by Fabio Caballero Jr is from the plot he used to place 4th in this year's Honduras Cup of Excellence competition. Grown on his farm, Las Virginias at 1650 MASL in Mogola, Marcala, harvested in April 2026. Upon first tasting a sample of this coffee we were blown away. It's a impressively clean yet flavor intense expression of Gesha. The cup is very floral with elegant notes of bergamot, and jasmine along with ripe fruit flavors tasting like mango, tropical citrus and apricot jam. The cup has great flavor separation with a soft coating body and lingering finish.
Fabio Caballero Jr. is a 5th generation coffee producer, working alongside his grandfather, Fabio Caballero. They began by planting Gesha and Java seeds from their COE winning farm, Finca San Francisco. The result has been amazing, which is evident in the cup as well as this year's Cup of Excellence results. We began working with Fabio last year and visited his farm earlier this season. We are very grateful to get a small portion of this lot to share.

Cherries were picked at peak ripeness, with sugar content levels of 23 Brix. The cherries are then depulped and dry fermented for 48 hours in covered barrels at a controlled temperature. The seeds were then washed and dried on raised beds under shade for 20 days.
