Our Story
ilse was founded in 2019 with a goal of showcasing the world's best coffees and a desire to open people's eyes to what coffee can be. High quality, high scoring coffee is what originally brought us into specialty coffee, but the people we have met along the way are what keep us here and more importantly, inspire and motivate us to grow.
Rebecca
Rebecca began her journey in the coffee industry after realizing the world of coffee is a representation of the people and places it touches along the way. She brings a strong creative energy and sees coffee not just as a beverage but as a medium for expressing stories and experiences and using them as a connector between people.
Her primary focus lies in establishing meaningful relationships from origin to consumer and ensuring every interaction and brand experience reflects the true essence of ilse.
Lucas
Lucas is the driving force behind ilse's commitment to coffee quality. With a wealth of experience spanning all facets of the food and hospitality industry, Lucas is on a continuous journey of exploration and learning, driven especially by his passion for coffee.
He is committed to showcasing the true potential of coffee. He is deeply passionate about sourcing and roasting in a way that does justice to the incredible work of the producers and the unique characteristics of each lot.
