Panama | Janson Lot 1011
Washed Green Tip Gesha
This exceptional Gesha selection comes from Los Alpes, one of two farms owned by the Janson Family in Panama’s Talamanca mountain range. Grown at an altitude of 1,700 MASL and harvested on March 1st, 2025. This year’s harvest from Janson was incredible, making it hard to only select a few. This lot is complex, and very ripe with electric acidity. We are finding flavors of apricot, elderflower, mango and lemon with floral notes of bergamot, honeysuckle and jasmine.
The Janson Family has been producing some of the world’s finest coffees since transitioning from a cattle farm in 1989. Their coffees are regularly featured in barista competitions globally and consistently rank among the top in the Best of Panama competition. We’re excited to feature their coffees, which often display a beautiful balance of citrus and floral notes, along with deep layers of complexity.
Cherries are collected at peak ripeness. Once sorted they are depulped and the seeds are fermented for 72 hours. Following this stage the seeds are rinsed thoroughly and moved to dry on raised beds for 10 days.
