Oscar Hernan Garcia manages San Isidro, located at 1800 MASL in San Agustin, Huila. This is a separation of Gesha harvested in September 2024. This is a clean and expressive coffee with citrus and stone fruit flavors along with classic Gesha florals. Up front we find apricot and vanilla along with mixed citrus in the aroma. The cup leads to more gesha florals like jasmine and honeysuckle with a well integrated citric acidity.
Oscar is a young producer in San Agustin, and we are incredibly excited to see a new generation of passionate coffee growers emerging. Currently, he is cultivating Caturra, Gesha, and Pink Bourbon varieties.
Cherries are hand picked at peak ripeness and floated to remove defects. before being depulped. The seeds are then dry fermented for 48-72 hours and washed to remove the mucilage. The seeds are then moved to dry on raised beds for 20-22 days.
