Ethiopia | Gogogu
Washed Ethiopian Landrace
This coffee is sourced from the Gogogu washing station in the village of Dida Haro Hada Raro within Uraga, at an elevation of 2,340 MASL. This washed lot, harvested in January 2024 is exceptionally clean with a crisp acidity. We find notes of raspberry and citrus along with florals of vanilla and orange blossom.
The village of Dida Haro Hafa Raro is a remote village in Uraga, sitting at some of the highest growing elevations in the world. Coffees from Uraga have always presented some of our favorite profiles with great balance of acidity and florals. This lot from Gogogu is a prime example of some of the best of Uraga.
Cherries are collected at peak ripeness. Once sorted they are depulped and the seeds are submerged in water and fermented for 48-60 hours. Following this stage the seeds are rinsed thoroughly and moved to drying tables where they are dried on raised beds for 7-8 days
