This Gesha comes from the Lamastus Families Elida Estate in Los Naranjos, Boquete, Panama. Grown on the Plano Plot at 1,700 meters above sea level, this lot was picked on a single day, April 18, 2026. It is the first of three lots we selected from Elida this year and the only Natural Gesha among our selections. The cup is deep and flavorful, with notes of strawberry, hibiscus, jasmine, and tropical fruits. It has a round, juicy body and a long, lingering finish, while remaining incredibly clean for a natural-processed coffee.
The Lamastus family began with coffee in 1918 and operates 5 farms within the highlands of Boquete: Elida, El Burro, Luito, Cliff and Trompo. The Plano Lot within Elida Estate is a partially shade-grown area situated at the entrance of Elida. This is a more open section of the farm on the slopes of Volcán Barú, where the Geisha receives even light and steady airflow. Like every Elida plot, it is harvested and processed on its own, so each lot traces to a single terroir, a single picking day and a single processing decision.
Cherries were picked at peak ripeness and slowly dried whole on shaded raised beds with no added fermentation.
